Robin Vs. The Darkness: A Year with Robin Williams

What an incredible journey it's been! Thanks to Diego Rey and Under Ground Films, Kyle Minor and I had the extraordinary opportunity to pitch an Oscar-winning studio on their quest for the first stop-motion feature-length biopic about a modern shapeshifter (and no, it couldn't be Bowie). We pitched Robin Williams, they loved it, and Robin Vs. The Darkness was born. While this particular incarnation won't make it to the screen, spending nearly a year developing this feature script and living creatively alongside Robin's spirit has been an absolute honor. As they say in Hollywood, it's not happening right now—but that doesn't mean the dream is dead.
