"Lazarus in the Backyard" in Untitled Books

My story "Lazarus in the Backyard" is in the newest issue of Untitled Books, published today. I am the featured New Voice for Issue 28. In addition to my story, there is fantastic fiction in Issue 28 from Rula Jebreal and E.C. Osondu and a piece by Dinaw Mengestu.

Untitled Books
has been described as a cross between a British McSweeney’s, a young Paris Review and a New Yorker for the ipod generation. Thanks so much to Viola Fort and Farhana Gani for accepting this story, and for all their passion and good work at Untitled Books. While you're poking around, some of my favorite archived material from recent issues of Untitled Books comes from Benjamin Percy, Gary Shteyngart, Wells Tower, Colm Tóibín, and Jonathan Franzen. Totally worth your time.

New Fiction Forthcoming from Untitled Books

Got an e-mail today from editor Farhana Gani letting me know that Untitled Books wants to publish my story "Lazarus in the Backyard" in their upcoming issue (#28), which will be released next Monday. I couldn't be happier. Untitled Books has been described as a cross between a British McSweeney’s, a young Paris Review and a New Yorker for the ipod generation.

I'll post a link when the story is live.

In the meantime, enjoy a story by Benjamin Percy, pieces by Gary Shteyngart, Wells Tower, Colm Tóibín, and an interview with Jonathan Franzen, all courtesy of Untitled Books.
